Artist Bio

Maria A. Hall received an M.A. degree in fine arts from the State University of New York at Albany and also has pursued her studies at the Art Student's League in New York City and Colorado University at Boulder. She has exhibited her work in over forty group and eight one-person exhibitions throughout the northeast United States and in New York City, Washington, DC and Bologna, Italy. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Schenectady Museum Purchase Award, the Albert Jacobson Memorial Award, the Amidar Memorial Award, Special Mention in Artists of Central New York and W.L. Coughtry Prize in Artists of the Mohawk-Hudson region. In 1986, Ms. Hall's work also was chosen for display in the competition Public Sculpture in Stamford, Connecticut. Other recent major exhibitions include the International Monetary Fund (1990) in Washington, DC and the Federal Reserve Bank Gallery (1991) in Boston, MA. In addition to Utica College, her work resides in the corporate collections of the F.D. Rich Company, Joseph Cohn and Sons, The Picotte Companies, and in numerous private collections.
