Bryan Holden

Artist Bio

Working from vast sheets of stainless and carbon steel, and occasionally incorporating glass, Bryan creates abstract wall and freestanding sculptures, masks and functional art. His paint finishes, both solid and airbrushed, are applied with the same technique as used on finer European automobiles. He also uses clear - coated finishes to reveal the natural patterns left by grinding, welding and sanding techniques.

From the outset of his career, Bryan established his presence in the art world, earning notable recognition that includes awards from both the Louisville Visual Art Association and the Louisville Craftsmen's Guild. His works appear in private and corporate collections nationwide and are rapidly gaining exposure in Europe, the UK and Canada. Other galleries displaying Bryan's work can be found in Miami, New York, Chicago, Columbus, and Detroit.

When considering Bryan's sculptures, both functional and aesthetic, one is struck by the juxtaposition of form and medium; each of his pieces combines grounded substance with freedom of movement. In this unique balance of properties one can find limitless appeal and desire for further exploration.
